If you’ve got sideburns and a moustache to maintain, then the Philips Norelco HQ6990 is for you.  This model is part of the 6000 shaver series that is best for the classic dry shave.  This is specifically for men who don’t want the hassle of applying cream and just want a quick shave every morning.  And because of its innovative design and technology, it provides a close shave without irritation.

Being a Norelco shaver, the HQ6990 has a rotary three-blade system which is replaceable.  As if this model could not get more affordable, its blades deliver top performance for an amazing two years.

Features:

Pop-up Trimmer.  Comes with a trimmer that is best for maintaining sideburns and moustache.

Ergonomic Design.  Easy grip handle that provides a comfortable grip and avoids slipping while shaving.

Reflex Action.  Its shaving head (individual floating heads) adjusts to the curves of the face and neck.

Lift&Cut Technology.  Comes with Philips Norelco technology that lifts and cuts hair below skin level.

Replacement Blades.  Can be replaced with HQ55 Norelco replacement blades

Pros

Long Use of Blades.  Since its shaving head is not washable, its blades lasts longer.  Washable shaving heads lasts only for a year, the 8020x is good for two years.

Trimmer.  The best thing about this shaver is that it addresses all facial hair grooming needs.  Trims sideburns or moustache then shaves unwanted facial hair.  Trimmer also pops up when needed and can be hidden when not.

Affordable.  The HQ6990 is more affordable than the Philips Norelco wet shaver series.

Corded/Cordless.  Can be used with or without cord.

Charging.  I hour charging for 30 minutes use.  Can be a great travel grooming kit for short trips.

Cons

Dry Shave Only.  Specifically for dry shaving only, should be used on the sink where it’s dry.
