There is no doubt that Norelco Philips Electric Shavers are among the best in the market these days.  They provide you with a close shave that you can’t achieve with your regular shaver and even from the most expensive electric shavers.  They’ve also incorporated their shavers with a few features that will allow a clean shave without skin irritation.  Yet, in order to continue providing these benefits, you have to regularly replace your blades with Norelco replacement shaves.  Overtime, the blades become dull but you can be assured that before they do, you’ll be able to get more than your money’s worth.

Removing Old Shaver Blades and Installing New Replacement Blades

As if achieving a continued close and comfortable shave is not enough, Philips Norelco shavers also makes its easy for you to replace your blades.  In fact, they can be replaced in just four easy steps:

  1. Look for the razor head release button on your Norelco razor.  Push it gently to release the head and expose the blades below.
  2. On top of the razor assembly you will find a plastic wheel on the center.  When turned counterclockwise, this should release the whole assembly.
  3. Gently remove the old razor blades.  Before putting in your replacement heads, brush the assembly to remove any debris.
  4. Return the assembly by securing it with the plastic wheel, turning clockwise this time.  Place the top cover of the razor assembly back and you are now ready to start using your Norelco shaver again.

Why Use Original Replacement Heads

It’s best to use original replacement blades only as the saver series works best with their original parts only.  Using counterfeit and replica replacement heads are strongly discouraged in order to maintain your shavers quality output and for the shaver to last longer.

Norelco blades usually last up to 12 months before they become dull so you have a year of a clean and close shave experience.  The blades however could last longer if you follow recommended usage and cleanup; and use compatible products [such as lotions] only.
